Although, truthfully, this well-written missive is far beyond the average, slightly denigrating definition of ‘chick lit.’ Time travel, of course; a strange genetic defect; modern times meets an ancient civilization – once the reader becomes accustomed to the rather difficult pronunciation of the futuristic names, the story flows very well. Strong female characters and yes, love and family, easily make this book a fantastic sci-fi choice for any reader.”
