ILLUMINATING THE EMOTIONS

Wed., Sept. 17, 7-9 P.M. for 4 weeks at 2726 Ellendale Ave., 63143

The basis for this class will be Karla McLaren’s book, “The Language of Emotions” with additional info from her second book, “The Art of Empathy”. McLaren’s insights are fresh and insightful, perhaps because since childhood she could read (& feel) the emotions of others. As an “empath” she discovered the richness and purpose of each emotion. Those who read her works often say, “This makes such since–why didn’t anyone explain this to me sooner?!”

While emotions can create stumbling blocks on the path to inner happiness, fulfilling relationships, and spiritual growth, it’s important not to dismiss our feelings (or those of others). Rather we need to illuminate them, bring forth their message and power and use that energy wisely.

If you consider yourself sensitive or empathic, McLaren’s insights will help you work with those energies to empower yourself. Learn to appreciate the messages contained in your emotions and use them for strength, healing, and creativity.
